Pictured here is my own dog, Morgan. She was adopted on May 1st, 2010 and was an integral part of my journey and fostering my love for dogs.

Meet the Owner
Hi! I’m Nicole, the proud owner of Cloud 9 Canine Dog Walking & Pet Sitting! My love for animals was fostered from a young age. I remember moving with my family to Vicksburg, Michigan when I was four years old to a 30-acre property. Soon, the land was populated with an assortment of pets of all kinds. Throughout my childhood, I raised and cared for pets of all shapes and sizes from geckos and rabbits to goats and sheep, and spent many evenings inside watching Animal Planet.
Caring for my first dog, Morgan, greatly deepened my love for dogs and pet care. Shortly after, I began volunteering as a dog walker at the SPCA of Southwest Michigan. I later worked as a kennel attendant and in 2018, began providing pet care services for fun and was quickly enamored by dog walking and pet sitting. Not long after, I realized there is a strong need for reliable, customized pet care in Southwest Michigan, and, well, the rest is history!
Meet the Team
I am Kylie, I am 21 years old and a senior at WMU. I am majoring in Behavioral Science and minoring in Accounting. I am a teaching assistant for the Applied Animal Behavior Practicum, where we train animals at local shelters in hopes that they’ll have an easier time being adopted. I have a dog named Liberty and I love being around animals. I can’t wait to meet all the pets I’ll get to sit with Cloud 9 Pet Sitting!
Hi I’m Megan Cook and I live in the Portage area. I grew up in Kalamazoo so know the area very well and have a love for all animals! A special attachment is to dogs as we always had many dogs in our household growing up. I feel like they are the best and most loyal of friends who are always there for you. They rely on us just as much as we do them.
Now that my beloved Chewy has passed on after 13 years together I miss that friendship and bond that only pets can provide. I want to share my love of animals with you and your families and will treat your pets just like mine!
Hi my name is Gina Casper and I’m from Bay City Michigan. I’m currently living in Kalamazoo to attend Western Michigan University. I’m studying child and family development and I want to become a child life specialist. A little bit about me is I love being outside. My family grew up always camping, so I love camping. I love sports, watching and playing them. My favorite to watch would be basketball and my favorite to play is tennis. Growing up my family always had black labs so that’s where a lot of my experience comes from. I’ve pet sat for some friends and neighbors before and they both had dogs and cats. And I really look forward to making bonds with clients and their pets and bringing comfort to the owners and building a trust so that they know their pet is in good hands.
Hello! I’m Jordan, and the twin sister of Cloud 9’s founder, Nicole. I’m an alum of Michigan State University and currently a graduate student studying in Western Michigan University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program here in Kalamazoo. My professional pet care experience includes volunteering at local shelters, 2 summers working at a boarding kennel with dogs, cats, and small animals, and a few years through a dog walking app while in college. My heart for dogs, cats, and othernorts stems from growing up in a hobby farm in the rural community of Vicksburg, MI. I currently own an Australian Cattle Dog puppy named Zuko and hope to add a kitty as soon as I am able. I’m looking forward to getting to meet all of you and love on all your little family members!
“Nicole was recommended to me by my sister Luci, and I am so glad she did. I liked her as soon as I met her prior to my trip, and she was super helpful in getting my booking done right, as I didn’t know how to schedule properly. :)) She looked in on my two cats every other day and sent me videos of her interactions. One of my cats is pretty shy, but she sent a video of her on the floor playing with both of them using the laser pointer. I’ll definitely book again with her. I felt that Cheezit & Quill were in great hands!”

When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.
